Constant depression and stress can make you fat
Long dominated stress and depression causes obesity due to increase
in body mass index. This is fact that due to persistent stress and depression a
person can gain heavy weight. Expert discovered that stress and depression
makes a person dull and compels to sit and he wants more and more healthy and fatty heavy food due to which the amount of sugar and blood fats can increase.
However, a new study discovered the relationship between the
constant stress and weight gain. The study found that people who have stress producing hormones like Cortisol, Cortisol
is a steroid hormone which regulates a wide range of processes throughout the
body including metabolism and the immune response. It also has a very important
role in helping the body respond to stress. Due to this the body mass
index also (BMI) increases, it means that who have more stress hormones they
have fatty waist and hips, and who have less hormones they have slightly and
lover waist and hips.
Experts also tells
that when a man in stress his brain produces more and more Cortisol which
makes common and basic changes in human body due to which the waist increase and
becomes fatty, for this rearch the experts choose the above 54 years persons and got positive results.
Experts also introduced the new technique for measuring of
Cortisol while researching on human hair and found that the persons who have heavy quantity of
Cortisol they have fatty bellies and waist. Under stressful conditions, Cortisol
provides the body with glucose by tapping into protein stores via gluconeogenesis in
the liver. so experts concluded that the stress and depression have directly
link with the fat and weight.
